Getting Here

Denver International Airport (DEN)

~3.5 hour drive to Steamboat Springs.

The drive from Denver to Steamboat is beautiful, but be prepared for a true mountain journey. You’ll cross the Continental Divide and drive over two high-altitude mountain passes. Because of the remote terrain, cell service is limited or nonexistent in some areas along the way.

Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN)

~30 minute drive to Steamboat Springs.

Note: Flights into HDN will have a connection in DEN. Serviced by United and Southwest only.

Getting Around

Rental Car

Pick up from DEN or HDN airport. Car rental availability may be limited at HDN.

The following companies provide car rentals in the terminal building at HDN:
• Avis
• Hertz
• Budget

Local Shuttle Service

Usually available for flight arrivals and departures to and from DEN and HDN airports, as well as in-town service.

We HIGHLY recommend making a shuttle reservation as soon as you book flights, if you plan to use this service.
Local shuttle companies:
• Black Diamond Transportation
• Storm Mountain Express
• Yampa Valley Transportation
• Ski Town Transportation

Uber/Lyft

Usually available for flight arrivals and departures to and from HDN airport, as well as in-town service.

FAQs

When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP no later than July 15th. You can RSVP online or by mailing the RSVP response card included in the formal invitation.

What is the dress code?

Mountain Chic. Cocktail attire meets the rugged Rockies.
This is an outdoor ranch wedding - the ceremony and reception will be held in a grassy field with uneven terrain. We suggest flowy dresses, slacks with a blazer, bolo ties, and cozy layers to keep you warm. Swap the stilettos for block heels, boots, wedges, or flats instead.

What will the weather be like?

Who knows. It is usually warm and sunny during the day and chilly after the sun goes down in September. Will it rain? Maybe. Snow? Possibly. Wildfires burning? Hopefully not.

Are kids welcome?

We love the little ones, but the wedding will be an adults-only event.

Can I bring my dog?

We love your dogs more than your kids, but please leave them at home.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

All guests should arrive between 4:00 and 4:30. Please note that our home is 12 miles west of Steamboat; about 25 minutes from town.

What’s the best way to get to/from the wedding?

We want everyone to celebrate safely and enjoy the night! We’ve arranged a complimentary shuttle service for all our guests.
If you are staying at the Marriott, please head down to the shuttle pickup spot outside of the lobby at *TBD*.
If you are not staying at the Marriott, please park your vehicle at the Marriott, City Market, or Alpine Bank parking lots and head over to the Marriott for departure.
Shuttles will leave promptly at *TBD*, so we recommend arriving at the Marriott front entry area by *TBD*.

Will there be parking at the wedding?

No. We do not have space for guests to park vehicles on our property, and street parking is prohibited due to county restrictions. We've booked complimentary shuttles to get to and from the wedding. See notes above.

Do you have a registry?

No. Your presence is the greatest gift.

Things To Do

Strawberry Park Hot Springs

A must-visit Steamboat staple. Natural stone-walled pools are tucked away in the forest, offering a rustic and relaxing soak. Reservations are required.

Fish Creek Falls

A short, paved walk leads to a stunning 280-foot waterfall. You can also continue to hike up a trail past the falls.

Scenic Gondola Ride

Take a ride up Mt. Werner (Steamboat Ski Resort) to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Yampa Valley.

Haymaker Golf Course

One of the best 18-hole courses to play in Colorado. There is a great driving range for those who don't want to play the course.

Yampa River Botanic Park

A hidden sanctuary right in town, featuring 50 unique gardens and ponds. Perfect for a quiet morning or a peaceful escape between wedding events.

Yampa River Core Trail

This 7.5-mile paved path winds through town along the Yampa River. Cruiser bikes can be rented at Ski Haus, which connects to the core trail in the middle of town.

Peep the Fall Colors

If you have a car and some free time, take a scenic drive to see the beautiful fall leaves. We recommend driving up to the town of Clark. Take Highway 40 to County Road 129. Grab lunch at the Clark Store.
